My Approach
I offer long-term, open-ended therapy for adults of all backgrounds. If you have been finding things hard lately and need some support, I offer a safe space for us to explore together how you are feeling.
I work psychodynamically, meaning that I encourage thinking about the unconscious patterns, beliefs and narratives that we develop early on in life, and how these may influence us in the present. This reflection can help to shift and change narratives that may once have protected us, but are now holding us back from living authentic, fulfilling lives.
With a background in university wellbeing and support, I am experienced in working with young adults and students navigating times of difficulty or transition, particularly those working in creative professions.
I am a member of BACP and abide by their ethical guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
I am qualified as a psychodynamic psychotherapist. I trained at the Manor House Centre to complete my PGDip in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, and at the Gestalt Centre to complete my foundation training.
I bring a long-standing professional background in complex emotional support working in university wellbeing and mental health services and charities. In these roles I supported students through anxiety and depression, personal trauma, suicidal thoughts, major life transitions, sexuality and identity issues and times of uncertainty and loss.
